HFA Founder Jim Englert Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

We’re thrilled to announce that our own Jim Englert will be honored next month for receiving the Rochester Business Journal’s Financial Leaders 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Jim took a chance, starting a new career after leaving his role as a benefits counselor at the Eastman Kodak Company and that chance paid off not just for Jim, but for the hundreds of clients he’s advised and helped achieve their financial goals along with the many up and coming financial planners he’s mentored.  

Teaching has always been a priority for Jim, and what makes him such a good teacher is his desire to keep learning. His constant quest to understand how things work and share new knowledge with colleagues has led to much of his success and has greatly benefited all of us at HFA. 

We asked Jim what this honor means to him and his response is indicative as to why he is so deserving of this award: 

“I am honored to be awarded a lifetime achievement award in a field that is a passion rather than a job. There are so many individuals in the Rochester area who are leaders in the financial industry and contributors in this community. I am humbled to be recognized amongst these exceptional peers. I will be 80 years old in September and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to start a whole new career at 48 years old and to still be working in this career every day with clients and colleagues.”

Jim will be honored along with the other 2023 Financial Leaders award recipients at a luncheon on June 22. Please join us in congratulating Jim!
