The End of an Era and Start of a New Chapter: Celebrating Tim's Retirement

After 15 remarkable years with HFA, Tim Verna, our Tax Specialist, mentor, troubleshooter, and resident pundit, has officially traded in his laptop for a road map, and we couldn't be happier for him.

Tim joined HFA in January 2011, and over the next fifteen years, he became much more than a Tax Specialist. Whether he was solving a client's toughest tax problem or guiding new advisors, Tim always brought expertise, patience, and good humor to every challenge. His last day at HFA was in May 2026, marking the end of an era that influenced HFA in many ways.

To celebrate Tim’s retirement, 25 friends, family members, and colleagues gathered at Good Luck restaurant to raise a glass and wish him well. No celebration of Tim would be complete without a little humor, and this one delivered. Every guest received a limited-edition "Knocking Out Retirement" t-shirt featuring Tim decked out in boxing gloves, a fitting tribute to someone who spent 15 years going toe-to-toe with tax season and always came out on top.

In retirement, Tim looks forward to road trips with his wife, JoAnn, tending his gardens, and finally catching up on chores.
